🎄After a four-year hiatus, the Leiper’s Fork Christmas tree is back and standing strong! This magical tree welcomed visitors from high-atop the hill at the edge of the village for more than two decades. The 43-foot tree, a legacy of the late and beloved Leiper’s Fork leader Bruce Hunt, was resurrected by a team of spirited locals determined to get the more than four-story structure back in place for all to enjoy. It’s located on Old Hillsboro Road as you enter Leiper’s Fork.🎄📸➡️ {SHARE} 🌟Bruce Hunt came up with the idea and put up the first tree in 2003. It was about 25 feet tall, and with the help of Aaron Hedden and several locals, the tree was placed on the hill across from Bruce and Marty’s farm. Sadly, the tree was blown down twice from strong storms. The last storm was 2019, just two days before the Leiper’s Fork Christmas Parade. ❤️This year several people came together and rebuilt the whole tree again. Four years without a Leiper’s Fork Christmas tree was too long. Marty says, “Everyone is so excited to have it back, because it just doesn’t seem like Christmas to us without it.” 💫Laura Musgrave was the driving force behind getting the tree back up after the hiatus. It was a group effort with the help of Oliver Strange, Chris Carlo, Wayne Darnell, Joe Waddell, and several new people who happily got involved. It was lit on December 5th and will remain glowing until January 3rd.  🎄We hope you will take the time to drive out to the village of Leiper’s Fork this Christmas to see this magnificent tree and support the wonderful local merchants and artisans. It's March 2021, I go to my VERY FIRST TN Women Connect Networking event. I really only connected with the ladies at my table, but ended up working with @SugarDropTN and I just so happened to drag @Lisa.Biles.Thomas along with me because I used to be scared to go to networking events alone. @Nashville_HouseToHome had us write a message on a card. Then she collected the cards, mixed them up, and then mailed them to each of us. Well, mine was from a woman I didn't get the chance to meet: Buffie. And she never came to another TNWC event for the rest of the year. The message on this card felt really personal to me and I could just feel the love and kindness behind it, so I immediately stuck it onto my bulletin board right next to my desk, where it sits today. Fast forward to January, 2022. I sit down at a random table, and there's a woman across from me- her name is Buffie-spelled like the woman who's note I randomly received! Could it be?! I ran over to ask Lucy if it was the same woman, and she confirmed, this was Buffie @lovelyfranklintn from that first meeting! How freaking crazy is that?! This event was huge- over 50 women, and Buffie sat right across from me. Well, we still didn't get the chance to work together. Fast forward again until late Spring 2022, and @LifestyleByLeBlanc took photos for Buffie's husband's new business @franklindrivingtours. And like any good bestie would do, she recommended Buffie reconnect with me to build the site for him! Finally, a year and a half after meeting, we are launching a site together! A fun fact is that Maury wanted to name the town “Marthasville” after his wife Martha, but she wouldn’t have it. So, he honored our founding father, Benjamin Franklin, and named it after him instead.
